T-Mobile USA will launch a new flagship HSPA+ device, dubbed the Samsung Vibrant 4G, which will be its first smartphone with a theoretical peak data speed of 21 Mbps, according to the blog TMoNews.
The blog, which said it obtained internal slides detailing the phone, reported that the device will receive "the highest level of marketing support" from T-Mobile. The phone, another variant of Samsung's Galaxy S line, will run version 2.2 of Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android platform, and will feature a front-facing camera with video chatting powered by Qik, a 1 GHz processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED screen and a 5-megapixel camera with the ability to record 720p HD video. No release date was mentioned.

A T-Mobile spokeswoman declined to comment.
Currently, T-Mobile's two HSPA+ smartphones, the G2 and myTouch 4G, support theoretical peak data speeds of 14.4 Mbps. T-Mobile currently covers 200 million POPs, spanning 100 markets, with its HSPA+ 21 network. The nation's No. 4 carrier plans to upgrade its network to HSPA+ 42 technology this year, which supports theoretical peak speeds of 42 Mbps.
